Tester Blog- Intern Expectations

Respond to the comments below:

What kinds activities/tasks do you envision yourself doing?

What will you do if you are not as involved as you would like to be?

  1. I envision myself helping with students that don't understand something. I see myself helping the teacher teach certain things and coming up with new ways to teach.

If I am not as involved as I would like to be, I would have a discussion with my teacher and let her know that I am not getting out what I want to get out of the experience.

  2. 1) I see myself as helping students better understand the concepts we talk about because I might have a different way of explaining how to do things. I also think I will get to write lesson plans, think of activities, maybe make some bellwork if the teacher does bellwork. I want to do all of the behind the scenes stuff as well as things that involve being infront of the class. If I am not as involved as I would like to be I will try and look for more opportunities to get myself involved. I will talk to the teacher and see if she has anything she wants me to do. I can take it upon myself to get something ready for the next day. Show it to her and see if she would like to use it.

  3. 1) I envision myself making lesson plans and working hands on in all the activites.

    2) If I am not involved as much as I would like to be then I will be proactive and ask the teacher what I could do to be more involved.

  4. 1. I mostly see myself starting off by sitting in the back of the room, but not for long! I'd like to think that I'd be looking at students, watching to see if their paying attention and helping them when the time comes around for them to work. What I really hope for is a chance to do some teaching, perhaps when the teacher is away.

    2. I'll force myself into being involved, I'll just, I dunno... throw myself at it or something. Get out of my comfort zone, "Attack the quiet ones" comes to mind.
